But above all, the reality and based on my experience in the world of healthy and sustainable eating, the best thing to do is to invest in a complete and varied diet, with all the necessary nutrients for the proper functioning of our body.

To achieve this, it is essential to take into account how we should assemble our plate.

In any diet that seeks to improve health, it is essential to use carbohydrates as a base, always giving priority to vegetables and fruits, so that at each intake one half of our plate should be of varied vegetables and preferably in season. We cannot forget that nature is wise and provides us with what our body needs at each season.

As for proteins, we should ingest 30% of them at each intake, always prioritizing proteins of high biological value, such as eggs or, in the case of choosing meat, white meat such as poultry.

In this regard, it is important to point out that the origin of the meat and eggs must be monitored since the food provided to the animal is key to guaranteeing our health. Therefore, we will always look for options based on farm or pasture animal.

The rest, which would be approximately 20%, should come from foods rich in fat, giving priority to monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are those from nuts, oily fish, avocado or olive oil, among others.

Fats will provide us with greater satiety and proper functioning of our endocrine system, which is why they are essential in our diet..
