FORK promotes the 2nd edition of the World Food Design Day, 3 INTENSE DAYS TO TALK AND ACT FOR FOOD, DESIGN AND CITIES.
The event will take place on 14, 15 & 16 October 2022
Urban & peri-urban areas are struggling to provide healthy, nutritious, sustainable, affordable, available and fair-for-all food options.
Communities living in urban & peri-urban areas are not sufficiently aware of how the global context is threatening current urban and peri-urban food systems. Food is taken for granted.
Food insecurity, malnutrition, lower quality life risks, are on the table, but only FAO and other international bodies are fully aware and are taking actions.
City & territory planners are focused on attending the demands of their communities. Therefore, food system planning is not being properly addressed.
This is WHY The Fork Organization is organizing a think tank of stakeholder’s experts in #MADRID, to co-create a list of measures that should be included in any city & territory planning projects.
3-day program to TALK, and ACT, for FOOD, DESIGN and URBAN areas.
Making the necessary change to make urban & peri-urban food systems more resilient, sustainable, healthier, accesible and fair for all.
